JLE Manufacturing & Hire is seeking an experienced Storeman to join our growing team. Based in Newcastle, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to a business with a strong pipeline of work, broad exposure across manufacturing and project delivery, and genuine long-term growth potential.

About the role

The Storeman is responsible for the efficient management of stock, materials, tools, plant and equipment within the warehouse. This role ensures accurate receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods, while maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment. The Storeman supports operational teams by ensuring timely and accurate supply of materials to job sites and internal stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Receive, inspect & verify incoming goods against purchase orders & delivery documentation.
• Accurately identify incoming goods as project or stock & tag & place accordingly.
• Record & update stock movements in simpro accurately.
• Manage with the operations manager the stock levels of critical parts.
• Management/preparation of good that need to go on freight.
• Ensure all warehouse operations are conducted in accordance with WHS requirements.
• Unloading & loading of goods from deliveries.
• Update simpro with stock orders & ensure levels are correct on shelf & in program.
• Working with maas plant & equipment manage the regos of all Plant when required.
• Present the Warehouse & Yard clean, tidy and organised.

What you’ll bring

Essential:

• Current drivers license.
• HRW tickets as required – Forklift, Crane etc.
• Basic IT skills and a working knowledge of inventory management systems and word processing software.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Teamwork skills and ability to work independently.

Desirable:

• Good communication skills
• HR license.
• Commitment to safety for self and others.
• Reliable, motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to travel and work unsupervised.
